An extra-large top-entry litter box with a stainless steel base, built for cats that kick and owners who are tired of sweeping.
Most covered trays are moulded plastic that scratches, stains and holds smell within a year. This one puts steel where the mess is and keeps the entry on the roof, so litter stays in the box instead of tracking down the hall.
The litter stays where it belongs
Cats dig, and a front-entry tray sends most of that over the lip and onto your floor. Entering from the top means your cat has to climb out through a single opening, and the raised edge knocks the loose grains off their paws on the way.
The interior is 60 by 40cm with a 30cm wall, which is enough room for a large cat to turn round completely without touching the sides. Most cats stop scattering entirely within a week of switching.
Steel does not hold on to smell
Plastic trays scratch, and every scratch is somewhere ammonia and bacteria can settle. That is why an old tray still smells after cleaning. The steel base here does not scratch the same way, does not stain, and wipes back to clean rather than merely cleaner.
It is also genuinely leak-proof. There are no moulded seams along the bottom for urine to work into, which is the usual failure point on a plastic tray after a year of use.
Comes apart to clean, in seconds
The lid lifts straight off the base, so a full clean means emptying one open steel tray rather than reaching through a hatch. Anti-slip stickers keep it from sliding on a hard floor while your cat climbs in, and a scoop is included so you are not buying one separately.
The semi-enclosed shape gives your cat privacy and keeps the smell contained between cleans, without the fully sealed hood that some cats refuse to enter.

Worth knowing before you buy
- A top-entry tray needs your cat to jump up and climb out. It is not suitable for kittens, elderly cats, cats with arthritis, or any cat with limited mobility. A front-entry tray is the right choice for those.
- This is a manual tray, not a self-cleaning one. You still scoop it.
- It has a large footprint at 60 by 40cm, and needs clear headroom above the lid for your cat to get in. Measure the space before you order.
- The base is steel; the lid is plastic. The steel is the part that holds the litter and the mess.
- Cats used to an open tray sometimes need a few days to accept a covered one. Leaving the lid off for the first week usually settles it.

Setting it up
Fill and plug in
Lift the lid, pour in up to 6 litres of dry food, drop the desiccant pack into the drying box and connect the adapter. Add 4 AA batteries for power-cut backup.
Pair with the app
Install the Pet Zero app, turn on your phone's Bluetooth and it finds the feeder by itself. It works on either 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi-Fi.
Set the schedule
Choose your feeding times and the portion size for each. Run it for a few days while you are home before relying on it while away.

How long will delivery take?

What food does it take?
Dry kibble only, 3 to 15mm, including freeze-dried and air-dried food. Wet, raw and fresh food don't keep safely in a hopper, so the feeder doesn't support them.
What happens if my Wi-Fi drops?
Your cat still gets fed. The feeding schedule is stored on the feeder itself rather than in the cloud, so meals keep dispensing on time. What pauses is the remote side of it: the live camera, notifications and feeding by hand from your phone. All of it returns on its own once the network is back, with nothing to re-pair.
Is it safe to leave for a week?
Yes, and capacity is the easy part: six litres is roughly two to three weeks of food for one cat. Two honest caveats. Run it for a few days while you are at home first, so you know your cat takes to it. And for longer trips still have someone able to look in, because a feeder handles meals and lets you watch, but it cannot refill a water bowl or spot a cat that has stopped eating.
What happens in a power cut?
Four AA batteries take over and scheduled meals keep dispensing. The feeder sleeps between meals on battery, so the camera and app pause until mains power returns, but your cat still gets fed on time. Rechargeable batteries are not recommended, as they can make the feeder report its charge level inaccurately.
What Wi-Fi does it need?
Either band. It connects to 2.4GHz or 5GHz, so it will work with whatever your router broadcasts.
Can it feed two cats?
One feeder portions one bowl reliably. For multi-cat homes we recommend one feeder per cat, because cats who share a bowl rarely share it fairly.
Is there a subscription for the camera?
No. Live video and two-way audio work through the Pet Zero app with no monthly fee. There is no SD card slot and no cloud plan — you watch live and can save a snapshot or clip to your phone.
